WHO: Living Louder organizes music classes so students can enroll at a level consistent with their current understanding and ability. Class structure allows beginners to start from nothing and to progress to advanced levels. It allows those with former experience to jump in where they are sufficient. The earliest suggested starting age is 8 years old.
HOW: Living Louder teaches students how to play their instrument through a series of true music lessons that build upon one another and that cover both technique and music theory. Therefore, students learn how to play their chosen instrument while also learning concepts that will translate over to most other instruments. This allows students to add to their repertoire of instrument ability more easily in the future.
WHAT: Many classes involve jamming with the instructor or playing along with recordings after students learn the basics and achieve a certain level of ability. Living Louder tailors song choices and song quantities based on the needs of each student or class and students always learn and perform songs from their favorite styles of music. Students also have opportunities to perform solo and/or with groups live during the year because Living Louder knows experience is the best teacher!
